The objective of the 9–19 Golf Club is to promote the game of golf among friends and to encourage regular, frequent play with the assurance of “a game” without the usual preliminaries. Our aim is to foster enjoyment through shared good sportsmanship, camaraderie, and fellowship.

The 9-19 Club has been in existence for over 70 consecutive years, which is eight years before the Wilmington Country Club relocated to the current Kennett Pike location. It was founded by 19 men who played at 9 AM on Saturdays - hence 9-19.

The 9-19 Club is open to all male members of Wilmington Country Club and is always looking to increase its membership. The 9-19 Club members golf on Saturday mornings from early April through October.

Social activities of the club include cocktail parties, couples golf, a bring-a-guest golf day, ladies’ night reception and dinner, Spring Dinner Dance, Fall Dinner Dance, and a special Beaver's Reception each summer.
